Proper Sleep To Stay Away Aging and Wrinkles

Proper sleep is essential if you want to age well.
Not only is the right amount of sleep vital 9and this varies – some people need more than others), but when and how you sleep is also important.

Cells repair and regenerate themselves at night. It has been said that humans sleep so that the cells regeneration can be carried out – animal that have a shorter lifespan and don’t sleep at all, such as butterflies, earthworms and mayflies.

Cell regeneration seems to occur at around 2.00 am, so it is important to be asleep by then , at least most of the time. Staying up late on a regular basis is very aging and have more wrinkles comes out. It has been said that 1 hour of sleep before midnight is equivalent to 2 hours of sleep after.

We are meant to sleep when it’s dark and rise when it’s light. If you want to have great skin and consistent energy and to look and feel younger, you must get enough sleep and at the right time of night too – this becomes even more important as we get older.

Even the way you sleep can have an effect on your skin. A wrinkles is a crease in the skin that occurs when the collagen beneath it is imprinted by a continual muscle action, such as frowning, smiling, squinting, grimacing, etc. People with facial paralysis often have no wrinkles skin because they don’t have facial muscle action. Many people sleep in a way that causes their face, their skin, to ‘pleat’ while they sleep. By nature we appear to sleep more on our right side than our left during the night, and some people notice they have slightly more wrinkles on their right side. If you sleep on your stomach or with your face pressed into a pillow, this will leave a wrinkle memory in your side – in other words, a premature wrinkle that could have been avoided.

It is best to sleep on your back or side with your pillow under your neck rather than your head if you wish to avoid wrinkles .
